Description

Important: Contract shifts are subject to the availability stated within your application, therefore shifts will change each day and each week. Actual shifts are confirmed two weeks in advance.
As a minimum, your total contracted hours will always be scheduled each week.

Summary of Role
To work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure all stock is tagged, size cubed and stored in the correct place, on time and to Company standard.

Responsibilities

Stockroom Standards:
To work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure all deliveries are processed on time and to Company standard through:
consistently achieving Company productivity and accuracy targets for delivery, replenishment etc
maintaining high standards of housekeeping at all times within area’s of responsibility
bringing faulty or damaged stock, or delivery discrepancies, to the attention of the Stockroom Manager/Supervisor
being aware of new lines and best sellers
Good Communication: To communicate effectively with line management on a daily basis to ensure you are:
adhering to all Company policies and procedures e.g. timekeeping, absence reporting procedures etc
aware of and actively supporting security and Health and Safety policies to ensure that standards are adhered to and maintained at all times
actively listening and communicating with colleagues, customers and managers

Working as Part of a Team: To work as part of the stockroom team to achieve personal and store objectives through:
carrying out reasonable additional duties as and when required e.g. sales floor cover, acting as a training sponsor (if required)
supporting and helping colleagues with their daily tasks as and when required
showing a genuine interest in other people and willingness to help
having the ability and willingness to acquire job knowledge through self development and by learning from others
demonstrating flexibility in order to meet store needs and special events e.g. sale, peak trading periods

Personal Attributes:Displays commitment; is motivated and conscientious
Consistent approach to all tasks, including those outside the normal role
Works quickly to deliver the best service and results
Is enthusiastic, performing all tasks to the highest standard and always on time
Shows initiative at all times and absorbs new information (e-learning, systems updates etc)

Criteria

Essential Criteria:
Previous retail experience or experience working with the public (if a school leaver, work experience is desirable).
A Flexible approach to working hours i.e. able to work reasonable additional hours at various times in line with the needs of the business.
Able to use own initiative.
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience working within a stockroom environment.
Experience working to productivity targets.
