Description

Summary of Role

To work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure all stock is tagged, size cubed and stored in the correct place, on time and to Company standard.

Responsibilities

Stockroom Standards:

To work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure all deliveries are actioned on time and to Company standard through:
Maintaining high standards of merchandising and housekeeping at all times and carrying out replenishment of sales floor(s) within areas of responsibility.
Adhering to all Company policies and procedures e.g. hanging, size cubing, tagging of stock, replenishment, faulty stock and organising stock in stockroom.
Quality assurance and bringing faulty or damaged stock or delivery discrepancies to the attention of the Stockroom Supervisor and/or Manager.
Maintaining and demonstrating security and Health and Safety awareness - ensure that standards are adhered to at all times.

Good Communication: To work as part of the sales team to achieve personal and store objectives through:
Supporting and helping colleagues with their work and getting involved in day to day activities as and when required.
Showing a genuine interest in other people and willingness to help.
Using initiative at all times.

Working as Part of a Team:
To communicate effectively with line management on a daily basis to ensure you are:
Adhering to all Company policies and procedures e.g. timekeeping, absence reporting procedures etc.
Actively supporting and communicating with colleagues, customers and managers.
Displaying good listening skills.

Criteria

Essential Criteria:

Previous retail experience or experience working with the public (if a school leaver, work experience is desirable)
Flexible approach to working hours whereby you may be requested to stay an hour later or leave an hour earlier than your allocated shift dependent on the delivery volume.  Your total contracted hours will be honoured weekly
Flexible approach to additional working hours i.e. able to work reasonable additional hours, in line with the needs of the business
Displays effective verbal communication skills
Able to use own initiative
Desirable Criteria:

Previous experience working within a stockroom environment    
Experience working to productivity targets
