Salary: £10,745 (24.5 hours) or £8,185 (18.66 hours) per annum plus shift allowance (dependant on hours worked)
 
Contract: Permanent, Part time Hours: Between 0400-2300 hours Monday to Sunday on a 4 on 2 off roster basis
 
Location: London Heathrow Airport

Please note that assessment centres for this role will be held on 17th, 18th and 19th December 2013

In a nutshell

As part of a large team you will ensure that our customers needs are fully met at every point of their journey through Heathrow airport. You will use your amazing customer service skills to create a memorable experience for our passengers whilst taking the opportunity to achieve sales targets. 

Day to day

You will be consistently meeting and greeting Virgin Atlantic customers, guiding and assisting them as they enter the terminal and assisting with DIY check in. Ensuring that each customer receives a high quality and professional service.
You will be involved in checking in Economy class customers and weighing their bags in compliance with airline regulations.
 
Engaging with the customer in order to pick up on revenue generating opportunities by promoting the features and benefits of exit seats, extra legroom seats and other cabins to maximise sales.
Being part of a well organised team at the boarding gates carrying out duties such as tagging bags, making boarding calls and reconciling.
Constantly being mindful of the operational service target of On Time Performance to ensure that our customers always leave on time.
Ensuring that all necessary paperwork is competed accurately and promptly.
You will ensure that security standards are never compromised and remain vigilant throughout the checkin process.

About you

If you are passionate about customer service and have plenty of experience, preferably from a face to face role then this may be the role for you. You need to be an excellent communicator with a 'can-do' attitude and be creative and open minded to finding ways to achieve exceptional service standards.
You will be a great team player as well as being able to work alone and show a willingness to change approach whilst adapting to new ideas and suggestions. In addition you need to be organised with the ability to multi-task and think on your feet.
