Greater Manchester Police is one of the UK's largest police forces and is responsible for keeping people safe across more than 1,200 sq km. The Force covers the Manchester, Salford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan areas.
GMPs officers and staff work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to keep almost three million people safe. The Force has 11 geographical policing areas known as Divisions that ensure it provides the best possible service to people who live, work and visit Greater Manchester.
Responsible to the Reporting Accountant for the provision of high quality financial information, you will maintain the general ledger, undertake feeder system control checks and be responsible for transactional support functions. You will also undertake regular routines and tasks associated with month end (and year end) financial reporting.
With a good general standard of education and having worked in a financial environment in a similar capacity, you will have experience of creating and developing spreadsheets. You will be competent in using computer systems and possess the ability to produce accurate and concise written work.
