Job details Job title Children's Services Worker Job reference HRSS003190 Date posted 07/11/2013 Application closing date 22/11/2013 Location Salary £15,251 - £17,066 per anum Package full time, permanent Job category/type Full-time, Permanent, Social Care Job description Woodland Lodge Short Breaks offers residential short breaks to disabled children and young people who live in Cambridgeshire.   We are recruiting for 3 Waking Night Staff to support this service.  You will be invited to team meetings and expected to attend regular supervision and training sessions.  Although these positions are for Waking Night staff you will at times be working directly with disabled children and young people who may require support during the night and to assist them with personal care and getting ready for school.  Early, late and evening shifts will be offered to cover sickness and annual leave absences. Essential Requirements Experience of working or volunteering with disabled children and young people in a previous role is essential as is the willingness to attend training on relevant topics associated with safeguarding, behaviour support, moving and handling etc.  Access to a vehicle or frequent and reliable public transport is desirable as some of the shifts may be at short notice.
