The trouble with many consultancy roles is choosing exactly the right size of firm. Too small and your opportunities to grow and develp your career can be limited and there's always the danger of financial weakness in a market downturn. This strong consultancy strikes exactly the right balance and offers the stability of being a long established, hugely respected firm by its clients but with a medium sized team of exceptionally bright and highly skilled consultants. They have a varied portfolio of clients but have identified that the biggest demand is on the buy side, particularly trading, broking and broad understanding of the key settlement and clearing processes (include trade and transaction reporting) for equities, bonds and derivatives. Another key area is unregulated and regulated funds commonly encountered in both the retail and wholesale markets, including authorised unit trusts and OEICS, Exchange Traded Funds, hedge funds and other unregulated collective investment scheme structures.
