Description

The NextWomen Business Magazine is seeking an Editorial Assistant to work from home on a part time basis.

TheNextWomen.com is an online business magazine (now available on smartphones at m.thenextwomen.com) launched in 2009, delivering fresh, exclusive content daily and providing a global hub for entrepreneurs, executives and investors to share, inspire and connect. A strong and rapidly growing social media presence and a weekly global newsletter complete The NextWomen Media.

Our mission statement:
"The NextWomen is on a mission to build The Female Business Brand for entrepreneurs, executives and investors. Our goal is to advise, inspire & connect a global & local community of ambitious entrepreneurial women specifically on their business needs - online & offline. The NextWomen is all about killer advice and killer contacts!"

Initially, the role would involve uploading three articles per week to The NextWomen website. Each article would take between 30 and 60 minutes to upload. Full training will be given.

There is real scope for the role to expand once the successful candidate shows that they are capable and committed. Depending on the Editorial Assistant's interests and ambitions, in the future their tasks could include: SEO campaigns; social media strategy; assisting with the monthly global newsletter; research into high profile interviewees and guest authors; writing articles; conducting interviews. We are a small team and there are endless ways in which an Editorial Assistant could be invaluable to us!

The position is voluntary and unpaid but offers great experience with an online magazine, plus visibilityand networking opportunities in the entrepreneurial world. Previous interns have secured jobs in publishing as a result of working with us. There may be the chance to attend some great conferences and business events for free. For someone who comes on board and has the drive to really make a difference, The NextWomen team would be happy to use our considerable networks and reputation to help that person with whatever endeavour they choose to pursue.

The Editorial Assistant would work on a remote basis. Communication would be via email and Skype, therefore applicants must have internet access at home. Hours would be flexible.

See our website (www.thenextwomen.com) for more information about us.
