Shakespeare's Globe is a unique international resource dedicated to the exploration of Shakespeare's work and the playhouse for which he wrote, through the connected means of performance and education. Together, the Globe Theatre, Globe Exhibition & Tour and Globe Education seek to further the experience and international understanding of Shakespeare in performance. The opening of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse in January 2014 will lead to a year-round programme of theatrical events.
We are seeking Box Office Assistant(s) to sell tickets by telephone, at the Box Office window, and through postal applications for events at Shakespeare’s Globe and all its venues. These positions would be on a fixed term basis from 2nd January to 12th October 2014. Hours variable – there will be part-time and full-time rotas.
The successful candidate(s) will have an excellent telephone manner and strong oral and written communication skills. Previous box office experience is desirable and knowledge of the Enta ticketing system and operation is essential.
