Globe-Trotter is currently recruiting for a Press Assistant to fulfil a short-term work placement, as part of their course at university. The chosen candidate will be directly assisting the Brand Manager in the Mayfair office, supporting with press and media requests, sample management, compiling reports and helping to update the website and social media accounts. There is also the chance to help with the Brand Ambassador program. As Globe-Trotter is a small company, there will be the opportunity to gain experience across other areas of the business too.
In early 2014, the flagship store will be moving to 35 Albemarle Street, and there may be the opportunity to assist with planning the launch event.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• To assist the Brand Manager on a day-to-day basis
• Managing samples
• Compiling PR reports
• Assisting with social media
• Liaising with press and media
• Updating the website
• Assisting with the Brand Ambassador program
• Helping with collaborations
• General office administration
Requirements:
• Extremely well organised, with an ability to multi-task
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Photoshop. Ability to use InDesign is also favourable
• Hard working
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Efficient and focused
• Interest in British craftsmanship and design
Details:
• This is a paid internship
• This internship is for a minimum of 6 weeks, with the potential to extend further
• Office hours are 9.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with a one hour lunch break
• The office is based above the Globe-Trotter store in the Burlington Arcade, Mayfair
• The factory is located in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire (25 minutes from Liverpool Street) and you may be
required to visit during your placement (expenses will be paid)
• Dress code is smart/casual
