Head of Learning

This role is suited to an individual with extensive experience recruiting, building and managing teams and who has a passion for education. Around 2,000 students per year will be studying this intensive 6-month qualification in digital marketing.
Specifically the role entails:
Building and managing a team of digital marketing tutors and junior community managers
Defining and implementing training processes
Performance management
Recruitment·
Responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of the course to each cohort of students, from the delivery of live classes, marking of assignments, scheduling, and setting of regulations
Responsibility for evolving and owning the vision for the course structure, through development of ideas with key stakeholders
Delivery of content (live class content, elearning activities, assignments), through a team of tutors
Reviewing and reporting on student feedback, and integration of tutor, student, stakeholder feedback to iterate and enhance the course design and content
Setting of and reporting against KPIs
Updating key stakeholders, including the executive team and client-side senior stakeholders on progress
Management and development of relationships at the senior level with both the technology, academic and marketing teams
Working closely with the marketing team to evaluate and implement opportunities to utilise academic content and marketing materials & dataacross both teams.
The ideal candidate for this role:
An experienced professional with extensive operational and project management experience with a passion for learning, who is looking for an exciting new challenge; preferably with some knowledge of distance/ online learning, although not essential.
Personal Specification Experience:
Demonstrable experience of recruiting and developing high performance, large teams
Operation and project management experience
Experience managing client relationships, and presenting and engaging with senior stakeholders (client and internal)
Experience in planning & running workshops, live lectures, classes or webinars
Personality Attributes & Skills:
A passion for high quality education and particular enthusiasm for online learning
Ability to work in an agile environment
Ability to work effectively in a team with strong leadership qualities
Able to motivate team members and encourage participation
Ability to work to tight deadlines, and to work well under pressure
High standards, exceptional attention to detail and dedication to quality
Confident and good communicator
Strong organisation skills
Technologically adept with a willingness to learn / adopt new technologies
Self-motivated
Fluent written English with exceptional grammar skills
