What will I be doing?
Alzheimer’s Society has an excellent opportunity to join their highly successful running team as a Volunteer Running Events Assistant. As one of the charity sector leaders in running events, Alzheimer’s Society welcomes and supports over 10,000 runners to its team each year. The Running Events Volunteer will provide a key role in supporting the very busy Running Events team. You will volunteer in Alzheimer’s Society central office helping to deliver our running events and ensuring that our participants receive excellent customer care. The volunteer will be involved with a range of exciting events, including the London Marathon, Brighton Marathon and Bupa Great North Run.
As the Running Events Assistant volunteer your role will include: courtesy calls to event participants (i.e. thanking, offering support and good luck); offering excellent customer care; research projects; data input using our database Progress; volunteer recruitment; event day preparation and on the day support; general administration duties. This is an excellent opportunity to get experience in events and the charity sector, and develop your skills in an extremely popular area of fundraising.
How much time do you want me to commit?
The ideal candidate would be able to commit 4 days a week for a minimum of three months.
