Essentials:
Educated to degree level, ideally in a numerate subject (i.e. IT/Statistics/Computing) or with a psychology or interaction subject (HCI, Psychology) A minimum of 4 years optimisation experience gained in an agency or vendor or client side environment Strong verbal and written communication skills in both business and technical areas Line management experienceKey Skills:
My client will be looking for the following demonstrable skills:
Business strategy/consulting skills
Experience providing strategy and consulting expertise to a business - ideally experience in developing and delivering an optimisation and testing solution within an organisation
Client/Customer facing skills
Client/Customer facing experience and managing and developing relationships required.
Testing and Targeting tools
Previous experience implementing and using at least one of the optimisation tools on the market (e.g. Maxymiser, WebTrends Optimise, Adobe Target, SiteSpect, Optimzely)
Ongoing Optimisation
Previous experience of designing and delivering a testing methodology and optimisation process
Analytical Skills
Demonstrated data analysis experience in Marketing or eCommerce or related environment, and demonstrable value added through analysis activities
Team & Project Management
Line management responsibilities essential. Experience of managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to inspire a team.
Tools
Previous experience of using a web analytics tool (e.g. WebTrends, Google Analytics, Adobe Sitecatalyst) preferred. SAS or SPSS.
The Role:
As the Optimisation Lead, you must be capable of recommending optimisation solutions (AB/MVT tools, targeting tools), establishing and running an operational optimisation process within the client organisation, and demonstrating the added value generated through optimisation activities.
You will be responsible for turning customer data and user research into actionable insights and optimisation strategies focussed on improving site, mobile and campaign performance in an omni-channel world. You should also be technical enough to have an appreciation of the tools used, to communicate effectively with user experience, creative & technical colleagues as well as clients.
You will lead a conversion optimisation team, day to day and drive strategic optimisation and personalisation initiatives
