Job: Receptionist / Office Assistant

Job description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, willing to learn team player with a good telephone manner, good command of English and good communication skills. It is essential that you have your own transport due to the location of this position. Track incoming parcels from factories and make contact with courier should problems arise Unpack boxes when arrive from factories and distribute items around office Send international and UK post- keeping a track of outgoing international parcels daily and deal with any problems/lost items with TNT or Royal Mail Open and distribute Royal Mail post Send out samples as requested and keep a log of items that need to be sent out Send new availability items out to reps when in warehouse Help Product Development dept. arrange contractual samples to be sent- liaise with warehouse if being sent direct from there Answer telephone and put calls through to relevant person/take messages Order stationary when required Keep sample boxes organised- including a log of how many availability samples we have in office and request from warehouse/factories when more are needed Holiday forms and charts kept up to date H&S files- test fire alarm weekly and emergency lighting monthly & arrange maintenance with contractors when needed. Arrange for any repairs/maintenance etc when required Weekly Movement Chart of key personnel Keep showroom shelves up to date and organised Put samples away in boxes- samples that have been checked or new sales samples from factories etc. Pack/unpack bags for meetings Check invoices from stationary companies and couriers If you have not received a response within 3-5 working days, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
