Overview:
Working at our Materials Plant in Dorcan; we are seeking motivated individuals who are able to demonstrate the ability to follow procedures, read and follow manufacturing specifications and follow quality standards.  Suitable applicants will have sound numeric and literacy skills with the ability to enter manufacturing data.  You will contribute to the Team processes in line with the preparation of materials and manufacture of compounds in accordance with the Company Quality and Health & Safety procedures
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
  • To work within the team performing the various stages of compound production as defined by the Tyco Electronics Operating Advantage (Lean Manufacturing), Quality, Safety, General Standards and Company Procedures
  • To work to a manufacturing schedule and to notify supervision of any issues that may affect the completion of the schedule
  • To prepare and complete all documentation accurately, legibly and in a timely manner
  • To report any deviations to supervision promptly and to assist  in resolving non-compliances where necessary
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and quality within the department
  • To comply with training procedures and keep abreast of updates to General Standards.
  • To participate in internal / external training programmes which are relevant to the role and your personal development plan
  • To have an awareness and accountability of sources of waste that impacts the business
  • To carry out any other duties as designated by your manager

Key Skills/Experience:
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to follow procedures , read and follow manufacturing specifications and follow quality standards
  • Conduct effective handovers to maintain workflow
  • Experience of working to Quality Management Systems
  • Experience of working to Quality Productivity Systems
  • Experience of working to Work Instructions / methods
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have a logical methodical approach to the given task
  • Be prepared to learn new skills
  • Demonstrate excellent timekeeping and attendance
  • Demonstrate flexibility and be prepared to learn new skill
  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • Good concentration and attention to detail

* Initially on a 5 month fixed term basis with the possibility of a permanenet role.
