NBFA Assisting the Elderly is a charity which aims to improve the quality of life for older people by offering a select range of practical services that encourages independent living in old age.
Key Tasks:
- Answering and logging phone calls.
- Dealing with requests and processing outgoing mail.
- Filing, Photocopying and making enquiries.
- Processing TENS and Alarms applications.
- Holiday/Sick Cover when required.
- Using the charity’s database and keeping accurate records.
Personal Specification:
Prospective volunteers should be computer / IT literate and highly organised and methodical in their approach to tasks. They should also be comfortable speaking to people both face to face and over the telephone.
Hours & Availability:
This role can be carried out at any time between 9am and 5pm Wednesday to Friday. We ideally would prefer commitment from a volunteer of at least 4 hours on any chosen day(s) per week. We also expect a minimum commitment of 3 months for this role.
DBS (CRB):
A successful applicant would need to complete an enhanced DBS (CRB) and be cleared before starting this role.
