We are one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK with around 10 million customers across our various brands. Our Metering business is responsible for effectively managing the routine rota reading and meter maintenance activities for our customers, as well as undertaking customer appointment visits for all gas and electricity suppliers. We're currently looking for Meter Readers in West London to collect meter readings from domestic and commercial properties.

You will be expected to walk routes both morning and evening to both provide a service for our customers and to maximise the number of readings obtained. Although you'll be able to use public transport, you should expect to walk in excess of six miles each day – come rain or shine.

To be considered for this position, you should have experience of working outdoors in all weathers, and be able to demonstrate high levels of customer service in previous roles. You should be conscientious, well-organised and self-motivated. Some evening and weekend work will be involved so you will need to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the business.

As the role evolves with the advance of metering technologies, you may have the opportunity to develop your skills further. This could involve training to become a SMART Metering Operative, installing new metering and providing energy advice to our customers.
