To maintain hangar environment as a safe and efficient workplace, assisting engineers as required.
- General cleaning of hangar, emptying bins, disposal of recycling waste.
- Paint preparation assistance to paint shop, rubbing down complete aircraft.
- Chemical paint stripping of complete a/c and components, IAW procedures once trained; workshops and hangar requirements.
- Maintain hangar equipment, inspect a/c staging, equipment A/R, assist tool controller with tooling equipment
- Bead blasting of a/c components. Application of PRC to a/c.
- Assist engineers as required – under strict supervision.
- Forklift driving transferring parts and equipment from HUB/ hangar/line, aircraft towing, refuelling/de-fueling a/c. training to be provided as required.
- Inspect and clean air compressor, clean down hangar Houchin AC power supply filters.
- Maintain stock and control of hangar consumable cupboards.
- Maintain stock and control of oils and greases site safes.
Qualifications:
- Driving licence a must. Forklift licence an advantage.
Experience
- Working within an engineering environment.
Skills, requirements
- Ability to take direction and work alone.
- Must be physically fit and healthy to partake in duties which are varied and frequently physically demanding. (Climbing steps, staging and working below aircraft on crawler boards). Comfortable with the wearing of breathing apparatus.
