Plymouth Community HealthCare (PCH) has a very active secondary care level Psychotherapy service which includes a small team focussed on Learning Disabilities. In addition, it provides an ‘Improving Access to Psychological Therapies’ (IAPT) programme, which has involved a large expansion in the provision of psychological therapies at Primary Care level across the city.

We are looking for an individual to provide line management and clinical leadership to the arts therapists and counsellors within these services, as well as advising other psychotherapists on matters relating to Learning Disabilities. This opportunity has arisen as a result of a planned retirement.

The post-holder will be a member of a large wider team and will manage their own caseload as well as providing supervision as appropriate.

Applicants should have a recognised qualification in one of the Arts Therapies, have a good understanding of counselling and be flexible and adaptable to change.

This post will be based primarily at Centre Court which currently opens from 8am – 6pm, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with a late opening 8am - 8pm on Tuesdays. However, the post holder will also be expected to work from The Therapy Space on Mount Gould Hospital site as some staff in the team are based there.

Job Share(s) considered.
