Financial Accountant wanted for our client, a leading Midlands Media Agency based in Warwickshire, with a number of household names as clients.
Due to the agencies continued expansion, this new role of Financial Accountant has been created.
The role will be to assist the finance department across a wide spectrum of day to day activities, to include all financial matters, accounts preparation, and related administration, and to report to the Finance Director.
This Financial Accountant role is part time, approximately 20 hours per week, although there may be a possibility for this to increase in the future as the business implements its Business Development Plan.
Financial Accountant Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the smooth day to day running of the finance department, to cover all aspects of the accounting function and related administration matters.
- Assisting as required in relation to media bookings, raising of sales invoices, and posting of supplier invoices.
- Dealing with daily cash transactions including receipts and payments, and bank reconciliations.
- Posting of journal entries, nominal ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Preparation of monthly payroll.
- Assisting the Finance Director with the monthly accounts preparation.
- Dealing with all related matters in respect of finance and administration.
- Previous experience in a similar financial role.
- Hands on experience in an SME environment.
- Proactive, can do attitude.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Previous experience of preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft office skills.
