Specific requirements of the role include;
Liaise with Councillors and Council Officers and ensure that their enquiries are dealt with quickly and unambiguously;
Work closely with Priority Response Officers and operational resources to obtain information regarding fault analysis and repair works;
Use a fault reporting system and other systems / software to obtain data required in order to compile enquiry responses;
Compile clear written responses to enquirers regarding the issues they raise either directly to you or via the fault reporting system;
Monitor correspondence on faults and identify trends which might require further investigation;
Support operational colleagues in fault trend analysis and the identification of suitable mitigation actions for agreed problems;
Qualifications
Typically HNC/D or degree qualified in either an engineering or communications / PR discipline.
Knowledge
• An understanding of the street lighting and electrical supply industries would be an advantage;
• Good commercial awareness.
Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Good working knowledge of Confirm software;
• Good MS Office and other software skills;
• Ability to explain complex technical issues in plain English;
• Excellent organisation and time management skills;
• Ability to work equally affectively alone or as part of a team.
